Dog Stays

• Your four-legged friend now stays for FREE!! (as of December 2025, we have decided to no longer charge a doggy supplement!)

• All dogs are presented with their own welcome pack. This includes a comfortable bed to sleep on during their stay (one less thing to pack for you!), water & food bowls, treats, a toy, a towel (to use during your stay), a blanket (to use on the sofa for cuddles) and poop bags to help keep the Hideaway mess free.

• All of our properties welcome dogs, except Buzzard as we have kept this Treehouse pet free.

• Our three dog-friendly treehouses feature an enclosed outside deck area.

• Our shepherd’s huts and American Airstream feature a ground anchor that you can attach your dog to via their lead. They do not have an enclosed outside area, but do all feature a private unsecure patio/deck.

• Before you are due to arrive please ensure all vaccinations; flea and worm treatments are up to date.

• Please ensure your dog is kept on their lead at all times on site, including walking to and from your accommodation, as we have an array of wildlife onsite that we don’t want to scare away.

• We kindly ask to not allow your dog on any of the beds please.

• We do allow dogs on the sofa, only if you please use the dog blanket provided.

• Please always keep an eye on your dog on any of the balconies and never leave them unattended.

• Dogs are not allowed to be left alone or unsupervised on site in any of our accommodation properties at any time. If you plan to head our during your stay and can’t take your four-legged friend with you, then visit our doggy day care page for more information.

• We are able to recommend local dog friendly eateries and great places to stretch their four legs.

• Please pick up any poop with the doggy bags provided in your doggy welcome hamper, please dispose of these in any of the on site doggy waste bins.

• If you have been caught in the Great British weather then please ensure your dog is thoroughly dried on arrival back at the property, we have provided a towel to assist with this and Owl and Pheasant treehouses now have their own outside dog wash.

• Please do not let your dog chew any of the furniture.

• Please do your best to leave the property free of any obvious dog hair or paw marks on departure day.

• Whilst we are extremely dog friendly at Dittisham Hideaway and most dogs are welcome, those listed in the Dangerous Dog Act are not allowed. Please check with us when you book.
